Day 3

We spent most of the day in and near Indianapolis. We were at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis when it opened at 10. The staff put on a brief 'Be Our Guest' performance before the museum opened. We headed to the rock wall ticket booth first to get signed up for a free climbing slot. Hans and Fritz both determined that the wall here, which resembled real rock more than the wall at our YMCA, was more difficult than the one they are used to climbing.

Dad's favorite part of the museum was the 3 story tall water clock. In this photo, the staffer is explaining how it works before it drained almost all 70 gallons at 1pm.

After a late lunch at White Castle, we headed north to visit my aunt and uncle, whom I hadn't seen since my dad's funeral over 4 years ago. We finished off a nice 3 hour visit with dinner at Applebee's. Then we drove through a heavy rainstorm (twice) into Ohio for the night.
